The FILA brand was founded in 1911 in the Italian city of Biella in Piedmont. Initially, however, the company was engaged in the production of clothing for climbers. The turning point for the brand turned out to be 1968, when FILA established a collaboration with the famous designer Enrico Frachey, thanks to which it became a global sportswear company. The next decade brought a considerable revolution, when FILA decided to create a collection of clothes for tennis players. This discipline was becoming more and more popular, but players always appeared in white clothes – FILA intended to change this and introduced bright colors and attractive patterns to the court. The growth of the brand's popularity was also ensured by collaboration with the famous Swedish tennis player Björn Borg. In the 80s, the company produced tennis shoes, and later for basketball and football. The new millennium brought other changes – in 2007 FILA's headquarters were moved to South Korea, and Yoon-Soo Yoon became the new owner of the brand. See more products
